Chris Brogan: Why I Love Gary

  • Eric Skiff · 2 years ago
Gary totally energizes me as well. He's just incredible at what he does. Between creating shows, connecting in a real way on twitter, using facebook to connect and promote, and thanking people for helping him spread his vision (not his product!) he's an incredible example of how to do social media right.

The first time I saw wine library TV I thought, what a crazed lune and thought he was probably an ass. I still think he is a crazed lune, though after seeing him interact with with the online community and even traded a few twitter's back and forth, this is one guy that gets it and is giving the word his knowledge of wine. Gary is great and can't wait to meet him off line and see his passion in full force. He has more passion about wine than I have seen anybody have passion about anything. It's refreshing.

    yo chris

barbara gavin writes on her blog that she hope you don't think she fell off the earth - let her know that she has and all will be well - also you write Gary could probably sell ANYTHING, and I’d be buying. But he doesn’t. Gary is passionate about wine. i once had the head of sales at zoidac shoes make a great comment after i pitched him something - "i love it - i buy it but i am a salesman and i have to believe in what i am selling and you believe in what you are selling so what do i know - i believe in those who believe too" well ok he didn't say it just like that - so the key to anything is believing in it and in yourself - food for thought - geo

I'm proud to call Gary a friend. We've met IRL and email each other often. I'm happy to report that he's as genuine IRL as he is on screen. He's a good egg.
