Chris Brogan: Upcoming Trips and Events

  • Baratunde Thurston · 9 months ago
sir, quite an exciting itinerary you have coming up. i'm curious, however. why does mr social media not use some sort of semi-advanced online calendar system to post this information? seems a little odd to me to run these as bullets in a blog post. what say you sir? your social media bonafides have been called into question. CHALLENGE!

    Finally!

Yes, it is okay to switch on your radar beacon.
It's not a billboard, ad, or ego, when folks are constantly asking
what where when, over and over again.

Though Ed will probably continue even with this post. ;)

Just loved this little video. I'm going to have to learn how to add those comments and minivids to the application. Do I need to subscribe to your feed? Or can I just log on to Twitter? thanks and have a safe trip, Debby

You, my friend, are a maniac. I don't know how you do it, but I'm glad it's you and not me. :)

You are one busy guy. You have stuff going on all the time. But some people are definitely happy traveling a lot. I am not one of those people though.

    Hey there Chris,

No Toronto? Sheesh, did we scare you away that much? ;-)

In response to Baratunde, you could check out the Events Calendar plug-in. I use it on my blog and it's a useful little tool to show at a glance where you'll be and when.

Come on Chris, get yourself over to New Zealand!

    Hey Chris,

Wow, very busy calendar. Posting a list of upcoming events is a pretty cool way of keeping your readers updated with your whereabouts. I may have to try the events calendar plug-in for myself.

Hey Chris, we're all looking forward to seeing you out in SoCal this month. Also really looking forward to the Inbound Marketing Summit in San Francisco April 28-29 http://www.inboundmarketingsummit.com/

We're rallying members together and plan to get a bus (or buses) and make a road trip out of it. We'll be talking, eating, drinking and Tweeting (from our iphones) the whole way. Should be fun. See you again in April.

You know it's darned interesting you posted this vid. There I was in Seattle at an event with you. I'm thinking, 'jeez, this poor guy has every single bloke and blokette coming at him saying, "Hi! So wanted to meet you." And I'm thinking why add to this? Then I'm thinking why not? One minute. Introduce, thyself, exchange a bit of back and forth and continue on in life. So I did. Glad to have done so. See you soon. Next time I'll talk longer!

    Hello Chris,
I am really looking forward to getting the chance to see you speak at The SoCal Action Sports Network in a few weeks. As a student, Bryan Elliot is giving us the opportunity to volunteer in this event and I couldn't be more excited! I am a social media enthusiast and marketing student- so getting to see you speak is going to be great.
I would really love to say "Hi" to you and meet you in person.

    Mr. Chris, very good.

Yeah, you're coming to CA. I just registered to be there. Just yesterday, I met a couple of bloggers I follow in person, and now, I'll be at Foothill Ranch. I'm excited...................:)

I will not be shy, and I will be sexier in person.

I'd come and see you in Chicago, and bring some of my new media graduate school friends, but the price of the conference is much too high for any of us to afford. Glad you are coming to Chicago though. We need more social media, blogging, networking, etc. events.

can't help but notice kansas city is not on your itinerary anytime soon. you should really fix that. even @skydiver is making an appearance in town.

side note, love your LinkedIn profile. used it as an example for my company as we work on developing our presence on that site.

Gosh Chris, you have to really enjoy traveling or you would be in a fix for sure. Have to say your Blog on being sexier was a bit amusing. Am going to try to make it to the Irvine Sports conference. Really not sure how sexy I will make my mind up to be. However, looking forward to meeting you along with other serious bloggers someday.

When I first started Twitter in October of 2008, someone DM'd me telling me to Follow @chrisbrogan and his blog. Saying you were the fastest way to steer through the Twitter minutia.

Travel well, have fun, be safe.

Folks, I know Chris. We have met many times. He's not BS'ing, and it's 100% true what he is saying. The crowds of people happen to a lot of us. Step in, say hi and shake hands. Chris is thee most gifted networker I know. I have tried to take a lot of cues from him. However, this goes beyond Chris. Don't leave an event without meeting the people you want to meet. I did that in Boston last year. I met a HUGE amount of people, but missed a couple that were on my radar. No one, is too superstar to talk.

Quick Personal Story. Chris and I were alone in a hallway in Boston last year and he glanced outside the big glass facade at Harvard and saw someone standing out under the bus terminal. He looked at me and said "I don't think I had a chance to meet that guy, thats a real shame."

Chris, I have no idea how you do it. Your like the mailman.... always delivering through, wind, ice, snow and rain. You deserve your success and looking forward to the next time we run int each other. In like 2 days :)

Wow, where is your CB 2009 Tour T-shirts? That is some hefty traveling. Chris, I'm looking forward to hearing you speak and meeting you when you visit Detroit in April. Thanks for making it our way!
