    Chris:

You have been and continue to be a Social Media mentor and guide. You are quality and your attention to the work is obvious.

Thanks for your commitment and continued willingness to build this community.

It might seem silly to ask, but is it okay to do something like you have done with this post and announce a 'subscription drive' to my tweeps and my website visitors? How effective has it been for you and how often do you do it?

Got you on my Google Reader!

    Chris,
This is one of a handful of blogs that I read every day, and advise others to do likewise. For those not using feedreaders as part of their daily life, I would recommend getting one ASAP. Google Reader works great as a Web based client and there are a bunch of others that sit client side. The convenience of pulling all the content 'to you' (a feature of feedreader + RSS subscription) is really something, especially when processing volumes of news and other sources.

    Hi Chris,

I have gotten used checking out your blog over the past couple of months. You along with Guy Kawasaki have been instrumental in opening up new avenues in the social media space. I am new to active blogging and am building up content gradually on my blog. Thank you for all the guidelines. I have subscribed to your blog. Keep up the good work. I am currently working on a post on cloud computing and its extent of permeability into the mainstream.

I had followed you on twitter. I then read you post on things to do on twitter, where you have mentioned how important it is to follow everyone who follows you. Was pleasantly surprised the next day, when I found you following me. Hopefully as time passes I can engage you with a lot more DMs. Keep 'em coming.

I've been a subscriber for about a month and have really enjoyed your blog. My favorite thing is your energetic, positive attitude and I link to you often.

I hope your subscription drive is a wild success.

    Chris,

I always get valuable information from you posts. If it weren't for bloggers like you, I'd be completely lost in the technical aspects of the social media world. I've recommended you to all my friends looking to learn more about social media. Your new subscribers are in for a treat!

I'm already subscribed, but if I could subscribe twice or even three times I would. Chris def gets the seal of approval =)

    Hey there Chris,

This wouldn't have anything to do with getting raw numbers to entice publisher(s) and promotion for the upcoming book, would it? ;-)

    Certainly a different take.

Chris, I am trying to build community by really delivering cafe-shaped conversations. In communications, it's not enough to offer tips. I've got to deliver thought-to-mouth combat training. I want to start fires of conversation that really engage new media idealists. I want to give passion and get passion in return.

So, the work begins. A possible re-branding of my site-I relaly love your ideas on cafe-shaped businesses, since those are the places I hang out in the most. Coffeeshops, mom and pop places, neighborhood joints.

    Thanks

    I subscribe via google reader.

What would I like to see more of? Just general info. on what makes a good blog post. Perhaps where to get ideas from.

And I'd like to see a post or three on time management. Maybe you could tell us some of your tips. How do you manage your day -- your work, your blogging, social media, etc. Not that they are all separate things, perhaps they are all one and the same. Oh, and your home life! Anyway, do you have some sort of schedule you go by? Is your time structured? And do you batch? I guess I'm wondering how important time management is (especially having specific times to do specific things). I'm asking because sometimes it seems that my day gets away from me. Perhaps I should be structuring it more.

Thanks for everything you teach us, Chris. :)

hey. how you? thanks for the reminder..to subscribe to both.
go check out feedly as a reader.
works w/ google apps. sooo visually yummy. totally.
and i am just getting blinded by so much text on the google reader.

i only just learned of feedly. so maybe you knew of it already.
but it lets you tweet your feeds immediately. it finds feeds you don't have based on content you do.

have fun in these next days of transitioning to the new. ;)
