LOVE Scrabulous on Facebook. Keep a running game going with my mom (she's 83, and yes, she's on Facebook) and a bunch of folks I know from Twitter. I'd love to challenge you some time!

We're scrabble people. The kids are getting good, and playing cooperatively with them and letting them kick your butt in the process is great fun, too.

I miss Ze too. A lot.

That was without a doubt one of my all time favorite Ze Frank episodes. I was blown away by it then and now again! Thanks for bringing it back. (you think he picked the name Ze for the Z points?)

and then i thought about it beyond what the comment meant

what is real?
not in that "Mystery Men" kind of way
but rather
what is real with regards to online interaction?

are the friends real?
are the moments you play scrabble with a far away friends real?
is any interaction over this computer real?

i don't know
sometimes i think they are
sometimes not
IM is instant connection but the quality is usually so insignificant that does it really take the place of "real" communication?
i personally don't think so

so maybe in this cyber world "real" is something that brings quality into your life?
how convenient though
that means anything trivial or negative can be dismissed
