The Old Value-Cost Conversation
Thanks so much for inspiring the idea of PodCamp and helping those of us in the new media space find ahome for our scattered, passionate and disruptive thoughts. May we all continue to learn together and grow together as this medium explodes.
Now put your pants on.
Podcamp Pgh... 2007? :)
By the way, while we were sitting there, we also remarked about how some of the conversations of PodCamp were about this wave that we're all riding on - then it occured to me that we are not riding on the wave at all - we are the makers of the wave. I tried to explain it like when a fighter jet would fly close to the ocean - as it past quickly, the after effect was the wave being pulled up out of the ocean - new media is that fighter jet.
The after effects of our actions should be a giant wave which others will have a chance to ride.
So, if it feels like you are floundering or following (which for me is quite often) just keep in mind that you ARE far ahead of others in this new space. The fact that you've attended PodCamp proves that point, I think.
To borrow the now famous words of Chris Brogan, I love you all, but as a collective, not individually, as that would just be too strange...
:-)
July 27-29, 2009 - Not Chicago, but Kansas City, MO - will that work out for you?
