I agree, you have written some of the best advice to be found on Social Media. I also agree that the best advice is to ensure that you have an organizational specific strategic plan regarding Social Media.

I would thank you for the post, but after discovering your blog relatively recently, I know that this entry also means much fewer hours in my day today. *sigh* A good sigh, but *sigh* nonetheless.

Chris, it's hard for me to discern which is your best, because it's all "best" imo. Just keep doing what you're doing. We all benefit.

Chris, you really inspire me in so many ways. Your blog is hands down the most content rich blog in my reader. Of course the subject matter is one that I'm passionate about, but the amount of knowledge you share and the quality of conversations you start is just incredible. When I meet people who don't quite understand the power of social media, I always point them to your blog, and I've had several people thank me for introducing them to your blog.

Your posts have been invaluable for a neophyte like me. Maybe other folks will also be interested in Nina Simon's blog "Museum 2.0," designed for an audience sometimes resistant to change and innovation. Social media has so much potential for museums and other nonprofits!http://museumtwo.blogspot.com/2006/12/what-is-museum-20.html

Excellent post. Social media can be confusing to so many people - what it is and what it is not.

Thanks for all the links to the resources of information.

    Chris,

Thanks for putting some of your older posts together. I've been trying social media to promote my non-profit organization and my e-commerce site. It's been like trying to sell popsicles to eskimos. Hopefully, I can use some of the older stuff to take a new look at what I am doing.
