Jeff and I worked in and around the Internet TV space over the later part of 2006 and all through 2007, and I’m really excited that this project has launched. It’s in Alpha, but I think it has the potential to appeal to people seeking mainstream TV content. It will be interesting to see where the site goes next, but I’m excited to see it launched and off the ground. Amit Shafrir, former president of premium services from AOL, is serving as CEO. I wish the whole team well.

I stumbled upon this nice site yesterday and it looks pretty nice (the cube adds an interesting "touch" to the navigation).

But, unfortunately, most of the content can't be seen by us poor Brazilians. Which reminds me of one question that always comes to my mind when I see something like this: why the tv networks block access to other countries?

I mean, at every day more and more people just download episodes through bittorrent or similar, without ads and without bringing any advantage for the tv networks. So, why they don't just provide an online service with good video quality by their own, be it supported through ads or even paid (I would pay for that and so would some of my friends that are also series addicted)?

Maybe is just me, but I can't understand this strategy.

My girlfriend is really into some of the shows displayed on your cube above, and she really doesn't have much desire for user-generated content (though she's getting into one series, Threadbangers). This is probably good for her. Thanks for the notification, Chris!

I happened across PrimeTimeRewind earlier in the month and joined right away. I love the concept, and by being a member, I have all my favorite shows right there for me. Not always being able to catch a show when the network airs it is a part of life for many of us, I am very excited about this site! I also want to comment that although some are wanting to compare this to Hulu, there is no comparison. Hulu offers older shows as well as SOME current shows, but not to the extend that PrimeTimeRewind does! :)

Primetime Rewind is a great concept and the app is very good for a version 1 application.

While I TOTALLY dig the idea of the site, I find the cube UI enjoyable/cute for about 5 minutes then it gets annoying and I just wanna find the tv show i'm looking for.
