The term presence engineering occurred to me yesterday. I was driving South on Thomasville Road in Tallahassee, Florida, just across from the library, talking to a client about how to expand his digital footprint. I'm making him some very big shoes.

I recall the Presence Management push in IP Telephony in '01 so I have to get that out of my head! It is in part the underpinnings technically of presence engineering...

In fact, about 12 years ago in 1997, I opened my business website by saying that "creating presence" through the internet was more than just about creativity. You're right, all of this journey is about creating, engineering, presence. And it's very deep.
