Chris Brogan: Aramark Strike in Houston

  • Kat · 1 year ago
i'm glad you talked to them
    and asked questions
even just to say "I see you."

    That's why I married you.
You don't think "Those selfish union bozos!"
even when it effects your own conference
you know that it's about people
    yours
    theirs

    i'd imagine it's frustrating
to add this into everything else
"I'm in love with how you feel."

I'm glad Employees are standing up against Aramark.
I was employed with a company for 17 years , Aramark then took over that contract May 2007 and rolled me over I was then used and fired after 6 months.I hope the employees get what they deserve.GOD BLESS...

Man, no wonder those sandwiches at the ITEC event tasted so bad! Workers from Aramark must have been in pre-strike mood when they assembled them the day before!

yikes ear infections are aweful...if I can ever be the coat over your shoulders, my dear and offer some prevention, take care of you tips...please consider a phone chat with me -I'd be honored to return the gesture you so gallantly provided me

Thank you for sharing. I used to work with the Hotel Association in Washington, DC (http://www.hawdc.com) and I participated in helping to negotiate the labor union contracts between the Hotel Managers and the employees. It was a very stressful time for all us although I had to be neutral about everything. The same issues were wanted by the workers - better wages, health benefits, etc.

Every 2 years I believe the contracts for the employees in Washington, DC are being questioned and then there are protests like this.

I hope that when conventions for Podcamp or anything in social media are going to be a state convention center that you realize that you may be in the middle of experiencing protests every so often!
