  • Adam Broitman · 2 years ago
    Sir Brogan

Please talk to me this weekend. I would love to be of service in whatever way I can. As you know I am a fan of the movement and would love to be an instrument in its prosperity (in whatever way possible).

    CONGRATS!

Allow me to echo the congratulations. You guys started this for all the right reasons, and it's clear that you're still doing it for all the right reasons. See y'all this weekend!

I'm confused by this. How does having a central body help preserve the brand? Why it would be necessary to preserve the brand? What if I want to start a PodCamp, are there going to be rules on how I run my PodCamp? Are new podcamps going to have to be cleared by the foundation?

I think a lot of my questions have to do with my not understanding your goals and not understanding what a foundation is in legal terms.

Hey Chris B, congratulations. I am confident in your ability to not only make sense of this but to be able to create a triple win for you and Chris P, for the other PodCamp organizers, and for the PC attendees/sponsors. New business models and sharing of "assets" are an exciting space to be in. Count me in as a supporter.

Delighted to meet you this weekend. I have extensive experience in starting and growing nonprofits. Will definitely work on next year's Philly podcamp. Suggestions for venues:
    1. Convention center - go for the biggest, fill in in the next few years
    2. Kimmel Center - cutting edge, fun space
    3. Fairmount Park - 9000 acres, many partially used buildings, we could really camp out.
