It seems I took you a tad too seriously. Apparently 100 in draft was overdoing it...

It's taken to date to get it down to more manageable proportions - and I'm positively itching to write more. I daren't go to the grocery store - dread to think what more musings I might come back with!

But I am taking heed of what you say about having goals for posts (makes a change from posts for goals, I suppose!). My 'New Year's Resolution' is to blog for charitable causes. I'm not very good at promoting other people, so this will be my first step in the right direction.

Oh, yes I know I'm a little early for New Year - but it's Christmas everyday in cloud cuckoo-land where I hang out, so no time like now to have a resolution.

Kind regards,
L

Re: A Sample Blogging Workflow

Thanks for the tips!

Re: A Sample Blogging Workflow

Hey Chris... I'm new to blogging and want to make a business blog to make some extra money to supplement my income. Trouble is I don't know what topic to pick. I'm familiar with the mechanics of blogging and website building. I susrely will take all of these valuable gems and implement them soon on my blog. (once I make one). Look forward to upcoming content.

Thanks!

Re: A Sample Blogging Workflow

New Blogger here...It is reassuring to know that blogging doesn't not have to sound "professional" but rather "personal".
I really enjoyed your blog and will take a few days to digest.

Thanks!

Re: A Sample Blogging Workflow

Hi Chris,

Lots of information here to digest. Why have a blog if you can’t start conversations?" I think so many people forget this point.

Re: A Sample Blogging Workflow

Check traffic and logs – As the day goes on, check your stats reader of choice to see if the blog is having any kind of impact. If you’ve got a decent ego surfing mechanism set up, also see who’s blogged about your post, and try to add some value back to their write-up. Don’t just drop by and say thanks. (Further note: don’t be crazy about checking your blog stats. They’re just a way to measure how people are responding to your posts.)
Get off your blog and comment elsewhere – Make sure you’re taking the time to comment on at least five blogs a day. Whenever you’re going to bother posting and putting out new material, others are doing the same. Be sure to respect them and give them comments and feedback where you feel it’s appropriate.

Re: A Sample Blogging Workflow

This workflow i must follow!
